Projects
We are delivering practice-based workshops in which our young participants lead conversations on the environment and climate change, and then teach them how to write, illustrate and animate their own stories based on these conversations. We thereby engage young people actively in the research process from its very outset, discussing the aims, strategies and objectives of our work together.
The medium of animation allows young people to bring their imaginations of positive futures into view, and by disseminating these animated films widely, they can raise awareness about climate change and share a sense of climate hope with others.

Our research takes place in three key areas:
Coastal Communities
Coastal communities across the world, whose future is critically threatened by rising sea levels, plastic pollution, unregulated tourism and misuse of marine resources.
The Amazon rainforest
The Amazon rainforest, specifically with Indigenous communities for whom the threats of ongoing deforestation and environmental change add to economic, political and social inequalities.
Urban areas in the U.K.
Urban areas in the U.K., especially low-income neighbourhoods where young people could significantly benefit from an enhanced engagement with green and blue spaces but are increasingly distanced from these.
